Educating against the current

Parents are increasingly concerned about their children's education. Parenting is complicated, and even more so given the abundance of negative inferences from the environment. But goodness has a powerful appeal; the example of parents remains, by far, the best means of education. In a home, it's impossible to pretend; reality, for better or worse, always comes to light. A well-known thinker says that education is contagious in fertile environments. Children will then make use of their freedom, and the fruits will not always be seen in the short term.
It's obvious that you don't need to be an extraordinary person to parent well, but you do need to constantly strive for improvement. The author has focused on certain aspects in a special way, which will serve as a foundation for each individual to develop their own personality. Ibáñez Langlois doesn't speak in theories; as a father of a large family and a school principal, he knows that parenting isn't easy; that it's often difficult to go against the grain, that we make mistakes, but that it's worth the effort to leave well-rounded children.
The author reviews some qualities—order, obedience, responsibility, perseverance, sincerity, strength, sobriety, respect—that we would like the people we love to acquire and live by. Consistent with his approach, he devotes a chapter to this example.
